American Threads
Welcome to American Threads blended on-line curriculum!
This course blends the content of US History with American Literature in a blended classroom (using traditional classroom interactions with on-line material). The coursework is approached thematically not chronologically. Overall, we are answering the question: What does it mean to be an American? First semester we will cover US History and Literature through the perspective of civil rights and tolerance. The second semester, we will start again and look at history through the perspective of the The American Dream, starting in the early 20th century and move through to the end of the 20th century.

Innovation
The Innovation Project is a semester-long high school economics and multimedia curriculum developed by the teachers and community partners of the Digital Safari Academy at Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, CA. 2015-2016 represents the 11th year of the project which blends entrepreneurial skills and a spirit of creativity and innovation with economics and design. Students in the course engage in daily lessons and activities that support, build towards and culminate in The Digital Safari Innovation Fair and Business Plan Competition, a fantastic showcase of the amazing things that happen when you encourage students to think big.
