Silent Film Scoring (Things To Consider)

When you are scoring your silent film there are several things you will want to consider in order to use the music to communicate your message:

DUE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28

1. Use the music to introduce new characters.

2.  Fit the music to the motion of the film (Is the scene slow motion or sped up?)

3.  Communicate emotion (use different music to evoke different emotions in the viewer (happiness, anxiety, sadness etc)

4.  Change it up (don’t just put one piece of music for the entire film, keep it interesting)
